Training can be done in our centre or on your premises RTITB approved training centre Why do I need to do a forklift training
course? A forklift training course will give you the knowledge
and skills you or your workplace need to operate a forklift safely and
efficiently. You will learn to assess
risks before each type of manoeuvre, ensuring
that the forklifts are used safely and for the tasks they were designed for.
The Health and
Safety at Work Act states that “ nobody should be allowed to operate any lift
trucks unless they have completed basic training to allow them to do so safely ”
“Regulation 9 of PUWER deals with training requirements.
All Employers must ensure
that:
1. Anyone who uses work
equipment must receive adequate training including specific work methods used,
risks involved and precautions to be taken.”
What does forklift training involve? To obtain a basic operators certificate you will complete the
appropriate training which is specific for each truck or equipment type.
You must be able to pass a theory exam followed by practical tests.

What lift equipment can you train me on? On customers premises we can deliver training on ALL CATEGORIES of lifting equipment.
In our Sheffield centre we can accommodate training on: Counterbalance
lift trucks, Reach lift trucks, Pedestrian Pallet Stacker, Pedestrian Pallet
Truck, Overhead Gantry Crane, Slinging and signalling, battery care and truck
maintenance.
